Château de Fayolle, a romantic 15th century stone château with views across the Dordogne valley, is set amongst the vine-covered, gently undulating countryside south of Bergerac. Secluded, but not isolated, it is at the centre of a one-hundred acre estate in Saussignac which produces superb quality wines, and is the perfect place for your dream holiday.
Recently lovingly restored, the Château de Fayolle offers accommodation for groups of up to 10 guests plus 2 children, in 5 en-suite bedrooms, of which two have four-poster beds. It is beautifully furnished with French antiques but with modern comforts. In the tranquillity of the walled garden you can sit in the shade of the giant cedars, stroll around the half-timbered pigeonnier and private chapel or relax by the swimming pool.
Located only 15 minutes from Bergerac airport and one hour 15 minutes from Bordeaux, both with frequent flights from the UK, the château is owned by Ringwood Brewery in Hampshire and is home to our exclusive wine club, the Confrères de Fayolle.
The château is available to rent throughout the year for short breaks or longer stays and the vineyard is open for wine tastings, by appointment.
