It is beautifully situated in Combourg near the French Atlantic coast the kingdom of the Celtic king Arthur and the kingdom of seafoodlovers. There is no winter here just a long Spring, a hot Summer and a wonderful Autumn with high air, evenings in front of the fire and with the typical French morning mist looking like a lake in the valley. Chateau du Grandval is no typical Versailles castle; non the less it possesses much greater charm. The dining room for example, boasts a grand open fire from the 13th century. This becomes a centrepiece for the Hunting and Lobster dinner parties held throughout the autumn. The drawing room and library, both dating from the 1700, are wood panelled and display numerous beautiful paintings. The bedrooms on the first floor have a special charm, nothing extravagant but with a generous display of Gallic flare.
