Château de Murviel is situated on top of the hill and at the center of the village; you will appreciate the tranquility of this historic setting with its large authentic bedrooms and an interior private courtyard where breakfast is served. Located between the sea and the Mediterranean countryside, there are numerous cultural and leisure activities to be enjoyed.
New life and light among the old stones of this 15th century château with views that stretch over vineyards to the distant Pyrenees. Life centres on the cool, enclosed courtyard with its oleander, orange and lemon trees, fountain and summer kitchen. Delicately coloured spaces are flooded with sunshine and in spite of grand dimensions - the dining room and iron-banistered stone stair are magnificent - the feel is not in the least intimidating. There are contemporary touches, comfortable sofas, and a small but well-designed kitchen in the tower. Tennis courts and scope for browsing in the village, lovely river beaches for swimming minutes away, wine-tasting all around and all the shops and bars you need in Château de Murviel.
We may accept a family or a group of 8 to 12 persons, and provide them - for one week, at least - with the entirety of the Renaissance wing of the castle - with its main salon, dining room, equiped kitchen and its large rooms (each of them has its own toilets and bath room). In summer time, inner garden also is at your disposal, together with our other guests, for breakfast or other meals.
