The property is set in 22 acres of land,with a small lake and woods which provide lovely walks, beautiful views and tranquility.
Local activities include fishing, golf, horse riding, bike riding, and much more! We are ideally placed for days out to the many châteaux of the Dordogne valley or for gentle canoeing down the river.
There are events all summer long including the popular medieval weekends, "soirées gourmandes" where you can sample the local cuisine and wines, in many of the local towns and villages, night markets and wine festivals, nor forgetting the famous oyster fair in August in the bastide in Eymet.
Local places to visit within ten minutes, are the magnificent imposing renaissance Chateau de Monbazillac, Chateau de Bridoire where you can take a picnic and play medieval games and try on the coats of armour. The medieval town of Issigeac hosts some fabulous restaurants ; La Bruceliere won't disappoint. The Bastide village of Eymet, the cultural town of Bergerac, with river trips on the Dordogne, Cyrano de Bergerac and many restaurants and vineyards.
Slightly further afield are the gardens at Marqueyssac, La Roque St Christophe, where there are caves of the home of man from prehistoric times.Fantastic canoing from La Roque St Christophe to where the Dordogne meets the Verzere and also at the town of Beynac where there is canoeing, and a town built into the cliffs above the Dordogne river. The Aquarium at Le Bugue. The Atlantic coast, with glorious sandy beaches stretching for miles and the famous town of Arcachon, with the highest sand dune in europe, Dune of Pyla. Golf at Chateau Vigier. The famous and magnificent city of Bordeaux with its famous water mirror. Cap-Ferret. St Emilion, Bazas all of which can be visited easily in a day trip.
Or just relax and unwind away from it all in Domaine de Laubarede's extensive grounds, lie around the superb new 12 x 7 metre natural salt water pool with wide 4 metre steps into the water and relax watching the sunset on the distant horizon.
