Nestled in the foothills of the Pyrenees, lies the charming and Medieval Bastille village of Chalabre, and uniquely situated within its walls is the luxurious, newly renovated Château Terre Blanche, open all year round for private or business rental. The Château has four well appointed oversized bedrooms, accommodating eight people, all with lavish ensuite bathrooms, finished to the highest modern European standards. There is the option for more accommodation upon request. Living areas comprise a Library, Blue Salon, Grand Salon with Baroque hand-carved wooden fireplace, Gymnasium and Dining room with flowing South facing outdoor terrace, perfect for alfresco dining.

Ringed by high stone walls and set in 2700m² of manicured lawn, parterre gardens and pristine 12 x 6m pool, the rental Château, in Languedoc, has all the privacy and lushness of a country property, but allows guests to embrace French village life. We do not allow people under 25 to rent the house. As we have learnt the hard way buy allowing families with children in the past to stay.
And even though we ask for a security deposit it takes a lot of effort to repair lead light windows and repolish oak floors because our guide lines were not followed by these clients

Conditions et réservation

Due to French law all persons who wish to hire a holiday rental property in France must sign a contract with the owners of the property, French law also stipulates that is the responsibility of the renter not the owners to take out their own rental insurance for the period of the agreed rental on the rental contract, The owner or Management will only accept a booking once they have received a copy of this policy for the dates of the rental period. The contract is for a short-term holiday rental of the property specified on the booking form made between the client and the owners of Château Terre Blanches Chalabre ("the owners"), Harleston Nominees Pty Ltd, binding from such time that booking is made and inclusive of all the following conditions.

By making a booking the client contracts on behalf of himself/herself and all those in his/her party and represents that he/she has the authority to accept these conditions on behalf of and binding upon all guests in his/her party.

Bookings are accepted on the understanding that the property is taken for holiday purposes only and that, excepting babies, the number of people in the property is limited to that entered on the booking form.

At the booking stage the client must specify the number of people staying in the property during the rental period and that they understand that any change of this number will be in breach of this contract and that the client will be charged accordingly.

The client and any friends or family of the client visiting the property while the client is staying there must adhere to the conditions of the contract, including the rules and procedures contained in the information folder provided in the property. If inviting friends to visit the client must first seek the permission of the owners.


A deposit of 30% of the cost is payable on booking if the booking is made more than eight weeks before the start of the rental. Bookings are provisional until a deposit is received and are held for 48 hours. The balance shall be payable four weeks before the commencement of the rental. Non-payment of the balance of the rent on or after the due date may be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the client.


In the event of a cancellation the total cost is payable. Any cancellation made by the client for whatever reason shall be in writing and addressed to the address on the website. On receipt of the notice of cancellation Château Terre Blanche Chalabre will seek to re-let the property for the period of booking. If a re-letting is achieved, Château Terre Blanche Chalabre will refund money already paid by the client less rent for any part of the period which was not able to be re-let and less an administrative charge of 30 €. The client is strongly advised to take out holiday cancellation insurance.

Period of Hire

The rental period is for 7 days and starts from 16:00 pm on the Saturday afternoon on the day of arrival and terminate at 10.00am on the day of departure being the following Saturday. The arrival time can not be changed as we will need to reset the Château for your arrival. The client should arrange to arrive on the specified time so the manager can do the site inspection with you and your group on arrival

Right of Entry

Whilst respecting the reasonable privacy of the client, the owners and or their representatives reserve the right to access the property at all times, if necessary, for repairs and emergencies.

Care of the Property

The client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair, condition, cleanliness and tidiness as at the commencement of the rental period.

Breakages or Damage

The client is required to inform the owner of any damage or breakage in or around the property promptly so that it can be repaired and replaced for the next client. The client is bound to reimburse the owners for replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs where reasonably demanded by the owners for damage caused by the client.

Rules and Procedures

Clients are required to observe the rules and familiarise themselves with the procedures contained in the information folder provided in each property.


Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Building. The client is also responsible for keeping the grounds in the condition that they found them at the start of the rental period


The client and not the owners are responsible for the correct use of the pool and those using it. And that the renter understands that no food or drink is to be consumed in or around the pool . And any glassware is allowed in or around the pool which can damage the pool liner. All clients are also responsible for all child supervision whilst using the pool and not any member of staff Of Château Terre Blanche Chalabre.


We do not accept any pets or Animals at Château Terre Blanches


The owners of Château Terre Blanche Chalabre are not liable for any loss or damage to any client's property or any property belonging to a member of the client's party howsoever caused. The client or members of his/her party cannot hold the owners of Château Terre Blanche Chalabre or their representatives liable for any personal injury/death howsoever sustained where the owners and/or their employees have used reasonable skill and care; and/or where caused by the fault of the person(s) affected or any member(s) of their party (including inadequate supervision of children); and/or where caused by the fault of a third party, and/or where caused by an event that could not have been reasonably foreseen or avoided.
