Nestling in a fold of the Cleveland Hills, Ingleby Manor remains a haven of tranquility offering visitors a comfortable retreat within the North York Moors National Park. The 16th Century Manor House, listed Grade II* by English Heritage, is set in its own 50 acre estate of woodland with trout stream and formal walled gardens. Breathtaking views are found at every turn.
The original medieval plan of Ingleby Manor, with living areas arranged around two internal courtyards divided by the Great Hall, allowed us to create spacious and airy apartments with minimal alteration to the 16th Century house. Each is totally self-contained with its own entrances and lovely views over the surrounding gardens, woods and hills.
The atmosphere of an historic country house has been retained through the careful use of antique furniture and appropriate furnishings, and the installation of central heating and modern appliances make the apartments cosy and comfortable.
Within the grounds of Ingleby Manor is a large, modern detached house, Forest View, which offers very spacious accommodation for up to 8 people.
