Southwest France is home to Chateau de Belet, a renaissance chateau, built in the 15th century and situated in Terroir of the Périgord cultural and wine region between Sarlat, Bordeaux, and Saint Emilion. It is offered as an exclusive use relais and chateaux, castle hotel, luxury villa, wedding chateaux as well as a short-term seasonal Bed & Breakfast. Capacity is fifteen to twenty-six persons, double occupancy, depending on rental accommodation type and is ideal for couples, families, tour groups, and special events including incentive travel groups. One of many castles in the Dordogne, it is birthplace of Alain de Solminihac (1593 – 1659), appointed Bishop of Cahors by King Louis XIII. Unique in the location near ancient roman roads and nestled amid The French Way long distance hiking network.
The luxury chateau is ideal for VIP’s, the private grand estate sits hilltop, surrounded by beautiful woodlands with valley vistas. Exceptionally well suited for seasonal and holiday chateau weddings, our luxury wedding venue hosts from fifty to one hundred ninety in door sit down capacity. Stunning versatile indoor or outdoor spaces are available in the castle, barn, or terraces. Concierge services are available for private rentals, with preferred in-house event planning service partners for complete packages. We welcome guest personal assistants, events planners, and heads of family offices, personal chefs.
Curated for sublime experiences, our hospitality amenities and services are custom to guest requirements, a la carte. These can include Michelin star and Bid Gourmand chef presentations by meal, event, or length of stay. Our concierge can organize VIP tours, private drivers, wine and food pairing events, culinary classes, winery tastings, hunts, or spa services. Property amenities include underfloor heating, air conditioning, professional kitchen with butler pantry, chefs table, formal dining and three entertainment salons with magnificent fireplaces. The boutique hotel-like luxury chateau sits hilltop, its imposing turrets, and terraced battlement walls offer magnificent and breathtaking scenery with fresh, clean air scented with herbs, grasses, and trees. The interior remarkable with doors made of ancient oak and iron pins, they reveal cobblestone floors, monolithic walls, and oak beams, hundreds of years old. Upon further exploration are all luxury rooms and salons, with sumptuous furnishings, high-end fixtures, each delivering all the conveniences of home, a totally modern experience.
All bedrooms are ensuite king or queen beds with custom designed furnishings by RH, French linens, air conditioning, and Apple TV streaming services. Each spacious bathroom, designed to accommodate chateau spa, in-room treatments, include a large walk-in shower for two people, heated floors, and AESOP skincare products.
The professional open-concept kitchen by Valcucine is where a delicious daily breakfast of fresh and locally sourced ingredients is served for B&B guests or is self-catering for private rentals. Master culinary classes and wine pairing experiences are available hosted by Michelin Star or Bid Gourmand chefs and sommeliers.
