Lough Cutra Castle

Originally home to the Viscounts Gort Lough Cutra Castle was designed by
John Nash and built by the Payne Brothers in the early 19th Century.
Located in the middle of its own 1500 acre Estate the Castle towers over
one of the largest privately owned lakes in Ireland.
The Estate is three miles from the market town of Gort in South Galway,
and only 1 hour from Shannon international airport. Locally available
there is riding, hunting, shooting, fishing, beaches, hillwalking and many
other outdoor pursuits, as well as the world famous Burren and Connemara.
The cities of Galway and Limerick are within an hours drive.
The Castle is now available for exclusive hire by select groups on a daily
or weekly basis, and is also available for functions and weddings
