Rajsko Castle invites you.
On the high bank of Kwisa river, surrounded by mixed forests of the Izerskie mountains stands a small Rajsko castle, formerly Neidburg. The Neo-Gothic building was built on the site of a medieval fortress in the second half of the XIXth century on the initiative of the owner of the nearby palace and property in Biedrzychowice, the Italian count Alexander von Minutola. As befits a connoisseur of art and its collector, he used with care in the construction of the preserved elements from the previous stronghold. He also equipped the castle with valuable paintings of such masters as Rembrandt, Durer and Veronese. Unfortunately, the turbulent in 1920 - revolution and war - destroyed this property.
Revival came at the beginning of the 21st century.
What was I supposed to do - says Paweł Krysztop, current owner of Rajsko castle - to recreate historicity without losing "genius loci", and adding new features, when in 2010 I bought this "romantic ruin" with a view to adapting it to a luxury hotel. I think it worked out, judging from international guests that Rajsko finds on our network and on portals. Only for legal reasons I can not name these names, but there were with us and world-class actors and world-class musicians. They seem to have left delighted.
Rajsko is a good place to visit the surrounding monuments. There are many here, let us mention only two:
Land of „Domy Przysłupowe” - half-timbered houses, often from the so-called "Prussian wall" is an unusual and original sign of the surroundings of Rajsko. Each of our guests will receive a free map of this attraction to reach at least a few of them;
The Valley of Gardens and Palaces in the Jeleniogórska Valley are numerous castles, palaces and gardens located at the foot of the Karkonosze mountains. There are here, in a much smaller area as many as ... castles of the Loire. Almost all of them are carefully rebuilt and preserved today, and are generally available as hotels or museums. The secret of this concentration of this type of monuments in this particular place is simple. The previous German owners considered the landscapes of the Jeleniogórska Valley as equally interesting as the Alpine scenery. And here they built their residences.
I invite you to the castle at any time of the year, because every season has its own unique charm.
